This book can be used by teachers, interventionists, specialists, and parents to help build foundational reading skills using engaging, multisensory strategies. The activities in this book will cover four areas of reading/writing instruction: phonemic awareness, orthography, handwriting, and grammar.

The Florida Research Center for Reading provides a wealth of information for reading research and practice. The page for FCRR Student Center Activities is a resource for teachers housing pre-planned lessons and activities that can be used in small groups or stations. The levels are divided into pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade, fourth and fifth grade, and a section for Spanish Student Center activities.  The activities address the five pillars of reading at each grade level: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. All of the activities are multi-sensory and are engaging for students at all levels.
